PEDALJETS -Hide & Go Seek / The One I Can't Have 7" single (Throbbing Lobster #716) Lawrence, Kansas '86: a semi-promotional 'tour 45' from their never-released Throbbing Lobster LP. I'd started getting tapes from them in early 1985 - horribly-recorded stuff with amazing pre-Nirvana-ish vocals and lovely, gnarly layers of guitars. But every time they went in to the studio something else went wrong til finally I think they got so nervous and self-conscious that the spark just wasn't there. Finally when Twilight Records showed some interest I said go for it. Their Today Today album is still a mighty impressive LP but, oh, if you could hear the demos! Only 200 copies of the 45.
