CHAIN LINK FENCE - Fireworks 6-song EP (Throbbing Lobster 4)

Chain Link Fence - Fireworks 6-song EP (Throbbing Lobster #4) These guys started off as an unbelievably earnest and sloppy poppunk band, but more and more of the focus shifted Billy Barrett's singing. David Minnehan of the Neighborhoods produced this one, but it's distinctly transitional. That said, "Generate" and "Next Stop Please" will please most any fan of Teenline or melodic Bad Teeth punk. (Billy's younger brother Dickie Barrett couldn't understand why I wouldn't sign his band, the Mighty Mighty Bosstones. I told him every rock-band's rhythm section should know how to play ska, but no one should ever waste tape recording it... D'oh!)
Available only on original vinyl: new/unplayed $14 [sealed copies are available for the same price, but see 'about Throbbing Lobster' for details!]
